With 15 years of training and industry experience under her hip belt, Kendra Ray serves as a dance ambassador to the bellydance diaspora. Known for her musicality, stage presence, and blending Raqs Sharqi with modern bellydance styles, she is also versed in MENA folkloric dancing, tribal fusion, and dabbles in various other performance genres. Having lived near a large Arab, Middle Eastern, and Greek population in Detroit, a city historically known for its diverse music scene, Kendra had the unique advantage of developing her skills alongside a wide range of world renowned musicians in night clubs, weddings, concerts, and cultural events. Additionally, her work in the entertainment, film, media, art, and wellness communities in the American Midwest and greater Toronto, Ontario area give her performance and teaching style a dynamic flair, landing her onstage with top local and international entertainers.

Kendra has been featured on a number of media outlets including Comcast, CBC, PBS, NPR, Almas TV, The Arab American News, The Toronto Star, Arab America, and The Ice Network. She is the Founder and Artistic Director of Tableau Cadre Movement Ensemble, a multicultural and multidisciplinary performance collective, and provides consultation, choreography, academic presentations, and lessons to a vast amount of studios, schools, projects, and clients of all ages in the USA and Canada. She is currently based in Greeneville, Tennessee and continues to provide lessons, choreography, and consultation virtually during this unprecedented "quarantine-era". 

Some career highlights include: performing alongside music artists such as Chantal Chamandy, Christopher Lawrence, Konqistador, Sean Blackman, Victor Ghannam, Jacco Muller, Naghmeh Farahmand, The High Strung, Kiyoshi, King Jazzy, DJ Joey Pistoles, and The Green Sky Project; being a featured performer in the "World For Change" 2011 Concert in the Glenn Gould CBC Studio in Toronto, the Small World Music Festival 2012 in Toronto, the 2010 Detroit Greektown TV commercial, music videos for "Who Owns My Heart" by Miley Cyrus, "Galaxy Review" by JaeCoda feat. Drew32 the short film "One Last Call" and 2011 and 2013 Club Bellydance Tour featuring The Bellydance Superstars. She also assisted Evolution Dance Theatre of Toronto, Ontario as the International Liaison and Rehearsal Director in the pre-production of their latest show Follow Your Heart and recently directed and choreographed the award-winning short film "Truth Be Told" for the Downriver-Detroit Student Film Consortium.
